Kent L. McRae
Kent McRae joined Mease Manor, Inc. in December 2016. His 34-year career in the healthcare field has been spent in multi-site nursing home management and continuing care retirement communities, focusing on community planning, design and expansion.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas – Monticello with a B.A. in Communications and Miami University (Ohio) with a Master in Gerontological Studies, he was the Senior Vice-President of Moorings Park in Naples, Florida for eleven years. Prior to that, he was the President of Inverness Village in Tulsa, Oklahoma, taking it through a very successful start-up phase; Executive Vice-President Of Otterbein Homes, a not-for-profit provider of continuing care retirement communities throughout Ohio; President of Trinity Village, in Arkansas; and Senior Administrator for Beverly Enterprises, also in Arkansas.
Robert T. Kelly
Vice President of Finance
Rob Kelly joined the Mease Manor Executive Team in 2018. Rob has extensive experience in assisted living and continuing care retirement communities, having previously served as Director of Finance for The Pines of Sarasota and as Director of Accounting for Plymouth Harbor. Rob has also served as a licensed Executive Director for two Assisted Living Facilities in Florida.
A graduate of University of Central Florida with a BS in Finance, Rob also holds a Master Degree in Business Administration. He served in the Florida Army National Guard for eight years where he specialized in Artillery operations.
Vice President, Marketing and Business Development
Lea Richmond joined Mease Manor in May of 2017. A graduate of Colorado State University, Lea is a highly experienced marketing professional in the area of Senior Living and a former president of Senior Living Options of Tampa and Sun City. Her basic training in customer service was gained through the Walt Disney World Resort training program, one of the foremost programs for customer and resident service in the nation.
Ms. Richmond is a strong believer in developing partnerships and relationships with other industry professionals and business partners to strengthen resident programs and education.
Mike Mahan, LNHA
Vice President of Health Services, Administrator at Mease Continuing Care
Mike Mahan joined Mease Manor, Inc. in January of 2017 with over 30 years experience in healthcare, including skilled nursing facilities. He comes to Mease Continuing Care from Palmyra, Pennsylvania, where he served as Vice President of Health Services for Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. He also served as Executive Director of Birch Bay Village in Bar Harbor, Maine, Executive Director of Presbyterian Village in Little Rock, Arkansas, and in various roles for Methodist Senior Services.
While with MSS, Mr. Mahan was part of the team that established the first Greenhouse Homes in the United States, and he remains a true believer in the principles of the Eden Alternative. Mr. Mahan is a Past President of the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, as well as a past board member of Leading Age Gulf States.
Vice President, Human Resources
Julie Moser came to Mease Manor in 2018 with Human Resources expertise in various industries, including Manufacturing and Healthcare Consulting. Ms. Moser has effectively managed the HR activities for several acquisitions as well as the relocation of a corporate plant. She believes in building strategic, collaborative partnerships to create a culture that encourages a diverse and productive environment where employees are engaged and valued.
Ms. Moser holds a BA in Global Personnel and Human Resource Management from Eckerd College and certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and as a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from the Society for Human Resource Management.
General Manager, Building Services
Walt Mitchell joined Mease Manor in September, 2019, coming from Islamorada where he managed the $34 million renovation of four resort hotels belonging to the Carlyle Group in the Florida Keys. Mr. Mitchell also brings 10 years of experience operating and managing facilities services for a large senior living community in Naples, FL. His responsibilities at Mease Manor include management of plant operations, maintenance, and life safety, as well as overseeing construction, refurbishment, housekeeping, grounds, and general contractor coordination.
A combat veteran of the US Navy, Mr. Mitchell is certified as an Engineering Operation Executive from the Educational Institute of American Hotels and has technician approval from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Trina Theodorovich joined Mease Manor in 2017 to establish programming for the Wellness Center’s Seven Dimensions of Wellness (Physical, Social, Emotional, Spiritual, Environmental, Occupational, and Intellectual). Under her leadership, the Mease Manor Wellness program provides group fitness classes, individual instruction, and educational programs for all levels of fitness across campus. These programs draw over 1,000 visits to the Center each week.
Ms. Theodorovich brings over 10 years’ experience in fitness instruction for seniors to Mease Manor. She holds many certifications including Certified Activity Director, Certified Boxing/Kickboxing Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor, Beach Body Coach, Certified Cycling Coach, AFAA Personal Fitness Trainer and Aquatics Program Instructor. She will receive her certification in Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s in January, 2020. Trina believes that wellness programs should be fun as well as effective.
Sr. Director, Hospitality and Dining Services
Merry Schellhase joined Mease Manor in 2019 as Sr. Director of Hospitality and Dining Services, bringing with her over 25 years’ experience in dining service operations for luxury senior living communities. Ms. Schellhase has served as an operator in luxury senior living communities and has held several regional management positions for multi-site organizations. She has also served as a consultant for other dining service providers. A champion of the hospitality culture in senior living, Ms. Schellhase is passionate about enriching the lives of those she serves through providing exceptional dining and hospitality experiences.
Ms. Schellhase received her degree in Food Service Management from Southwest Wisconsin Vocational College, is a ServSafe Certified Instructor and Proctor through the National Restaurant Association, is a Certified Dietary Manager, is licensed in the state of Florida as an Assisted Living Administrator, and holds numerous other certifications.
Director, Lifestyle Enrichment
Jonie Haynes joined Mease Manor in 2005 to provide activities, educational opportunities, and all around fun to our residents. Ms. Haynes served as the Event Manager for the City of Largo for seven years and bring her expertise in event planning to our residents. A classically trained actress, Ms. Haynes has performed as a cast member of national touring companies including San Francisco Mime, Second City, and Shakespeare Academy as well as performing in local theatrical productions. She has also studied with the European Clown College which has sites in England and France.
Ms. Haynes holds degrees from the University of South Florida in Theater, Education, and Adolescent Psychology. She brings a unique blend of talent and professionalism to the Mease Manor team.
