Dunedin, FL- Kent McRae has been named as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Mease Manor Retirement Community. John Freeborn, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, made the announcement today noting that McRae has had an illustrious career in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) in Florida and other states. “We are very fortunate to have Kent’s broad experience and skills to lead Mease Manor to new heights. With excellent recommendations and a person who is known to give 100% to his residents, his staff and his board, I am confident we have chosen the right person. He comes to us from Moorings Park in Naples where he was Chief Operating Officer.”
McRae succeeds President and CEO, Jack Norton, son of Dr. Jim Norton and grandson of Dr. Jack Mease who was the founder of Mease Manor. Jack is retiring in December after 24 years as President having served previously on the Board of Trustees. “Kent is an excellent selection made by the Board of Trustees. He and I are already working together collaboratively and I expect a smooth transition.”
“My wife, Elita, and I are very pleased to be coming to Dunedin, certainly a charming and welcoming community,” said McRae today. “More importantly, I’m delighted to be a part of the Mease Manor family. This is the home of our residents and while they may feel some uncertainty, I’m sure they will not see any profound changes except continuing to improve their lives.”
McRae will be starting at Mease Manor on December 12, 2016.
